What are these "points"?
Blocks with attributes?
Linework and text?
Blocks and text?
Something else?

Hello,

Yes sir, I am working in Takeoff_2008, and by the way, I can't believe how fast you guys are at replying, this kind of service, I'm not used to. I've been to several classe with you guys and of course Bruce leading them each time. I'm looking forward to 'Digging In " with Carlson software. Thank you

Try points-coordinate file utilities-update coordinate file from drawing. Hit enter for wildcard match and hit y for update descriptions. This should populate a coordinate file with the points on the screen. You should then be able to list them. if this doesnt work you might email us the drawing so we can take a look.

They are a mix of all of those? Blocks, text, attributes, lines?

If nothing else, and depending on what you really have, PNTCONV.LSP found at http://www.dotsoft.com/freestuff.htm may work. It works with a selection of various objects and writes out an ASCII file.
