Centerline stationing

Postby ncwbruce » Wed Apr 23, 2008 2:51 pm

A couple of questions on centerline stationing in Civil 2007.

1) Can you add a descriptive prefix to the station? For instance, an "A" so your stationing would read "A1+50". This would help to designate different construction centerlines.

2) Is the stationing suppose to be dynamic? I mean, will it update if you update the centerline file? Profiles and cross sections are dynamic, as is the graphic of the centerline itself, but stationing seems to be static.

thanks for any help!

The descriptions currently cannot be added to the stationing and the stations are not linked right now. I will see if this is something we can add.

Thanks, that would be great. I think we are going to upgrade to 2009 when it becomes available. Just have it ready for me, will ya? :D

Working with 2009 and it looks like the centerline stationing is now dynamic, yay!

Unfortunately, I still can't add a descriptive "A" or the like. Strangely, I can do it in profiles, but not in the plan view stationing.

Oh well, one out of two ain't bad...

View Station and Offset in Drawing Inspector

Is there any way that you can do something like; have the ability to set an active centerline, and then be able to turn on the drawing inspector and hover over nodes or endpoints for instance, and have it show station and offset in a text box next to the cursor?
