2009 Error message...Help!?

Postby monksjm » Wed Jun 11, 2008 2:08 pm

Just loaded Carlson Civil Suite 2009. Was trying to get the same setup as 2008 and ran into this.

I'm trying to add the "MAP" pull down to my "CARLSON CIVIL" based workspace. When I type CUI, I get an error saying the following

"Unable to open file 'vaac.cui'"

when I click the "ok" button I then get the following

"Unable to located 'vaac.cui'. This file is defined in the main CUI file, but has been moved, renamed or deleted from the following location:
vaac.cui
To reload this file, type cuiload on the command line"

I did that and cannot find the vaac.cui file, any ideas?

Poll and vaac.cui

Postby TerryS » Thu Jun 12, 2008 1:27 pm

The poll question sure is ambiguous.

And the vaac.cui issue is so unrelated! hehe

For anyone's curiousity: vaac.cui apparently has to do with Autodesk Vault.

If one is not using Autodesk Vault, it is completely safe to unload the cui as monksjm suggested.

poll question

Postby monksjm » Thu Jun 19, 2008 11:22 am

Well I asked because I know of a company that has it but only has one user operating it and only part time...was wondering if there was others doing the same?

To get the Map pulldown back, you have to go to the Map Classic view.

In Carlson menus, go to Settings -> Configure Carlson

Under "General Settings" dialog box, change the AutoCAD Menu to "AutoCAD Map Classic".

When you go back to the AutoCAD Menus, you should have Map as before.
