Profile Station Elevation Label Problem

After creating a road centerline profile and selecting "Sta-Elev-Slope Label/Report", setting the perameters in the "Stations-Elevations-Slope Report Options" box and attempting to label the existing centerline from file. The output labeled on the profile grid is easting/northing coordinates instead of the profile elevation. When I am prompted for the station to label and enter it, I get an error of unknown command "1039.16" which is the correct elevation for the station but the routine continues after placing the coordinate data instead, to the next station prompt. I went back to my Civil 2007 program with the same profile and the elevation labeling works perfectly. Any assitance on this matter would be greatly appreciated!
