Annotative Text to mtext holding location

Postby monksjm » Thu Dec 04, 2008 2:44 pm

Ok...here's the issue. 3 different drawing scales in a project. I want to show contour lables for each scale using annotative text. This means we'll have to use mtext's background option as to not have a boat-load of text mask and so i won't have to create 3 separate text mask layers for scales to go with the text. So i go through, label all my contours and now have "text" with middle center justification, but need mtext with the same justification location and the backgrounds turned on.

question is...Is there a way to turn all these contour "text" labels to mtext labels globally and hold their locations (ie insertion points) so i can turn on the background feature?

this is an asap thing so if you have a response please do reply!

Thanks

Shaun

If any Carlson programmers are reading this...would it be possible to get a fix so that the label contours puts an "mtext" object in place in stead of a "text" object? that would fix this issue at the start!

I passed on to the programmers and they said it is on the to-do list already.
