exceeded maximum selection sets

anyone ever get this error. Got it this morning while doing a random command. After some research theres something about AutoCAd only have the capacity for 128 sets, and due to some commands not letting go of selection sets, the temp files are taken up and this error happens. Anyone know of the best way to fix this?
