Display Order by Layer
Posted: Tue Jan 26, 2010 8:08 pmI've been trying to use this command for about 2 weeks now. Got it to work great the first time i used it, but since have been running into problems. Order of these problems is this.
1. Open the Display Order by Layer dialog, organize my layers as needed
2. Save the .lo file
3. Hit "OK" to run the command
4. Hear the "bump" noise and see that either "BACK" is an invalid command or "FRONT" is an invalid command.
5. Do some minor clean-up or jockeying of positions of the layer names.
6. Run command again
7. No "bump" noise, but No results either. Things that should be in front with background masks on are in back of lines (namely this is mostly used for contour labeling, which now that MTEXT is an option, using the background masks hand in hand with the annotative text, allows for multiple scales in one drawing without the need to create multiple contour label layers.)
8. attempt to run the "Send to Back" or "Bring to Front" command, in 3 of 3 places (Pull down, typing, icons) and for both getting "invalid command"
errors.
