2010/2011 Side-by-side installation problems

I have a user that is running Carlson Civil Suite 2010 on top of Map 3D 2010 side-by-side with Carlson Civil Suite 2011 on top of Map 3D 2011.

He does most of his production work in 2010, but had to install 2011 due to some issues with *.tin to *.ttm conversion problems in Carlson 2010.

Every time he opens Carlson 2011, it completely wipes out his Carlson 2010 install. I have never seen anything like this happen before. The Carlson 2010 program files are just gone.

Anyone have any suggestoins or fixes for this? Switching over to 2011 for production isn't a possiblilty at this point because of repeated crashes when he runs in 2011.
