The MXS file stores the locations you want to cut cross sections along a chosen alignment and the SCT file stores the data for each cross section.

Do it means that i will get the height reference of each section stored on the .sct section which i had cut along??

Am i right to say that, to create a new section:

1) Firstly, created a .tin file on the 3D plots,

2) After that i will draw a 2d polyline or a centerline along the 3d plot.

3) I will used the "input-edit section alignment" to create .mxs file using my .tin (mxs is to stored the location)

4) Used the "Sections from Grid or Triangualtion surface" to select a .tin, i was prompt to select a .mxs file after that i will have my .sct file created??
(sct file will store data for my cross section)

Please advise?? Thank you in advance..
