Problem with Carson 2012 with IntelliCAD 7.1

Postby jblair » Tue May 08, 2012 2:50 pm

Has anyone had problems with Calson 2012 with IntelliCAD 7.1 running EXTREMELY slow, to the point of being unusable? We have been running Carlson 2011 with IntelliCAD 6.6 and have had minimal problems. We wanted to try Carson 2012 with IntelliCAD 7.1 on one machine just to see how it works, but it has been unusable. Even in the most basic drawings the mouse response is very slow and jerky and you have to wait minutes between commands. Carson Support has largely ignored our request for help. Any suggestions?

See the post under general discussion. According to Carlson Support:

We are currently letting customers install and use 2012 with IntelliCAD7 provided they let us know that they have installed it and request the latest updates from us by email (support@carlsonsw.com). We have many users on this software now and it is looking really solid. You could even install the 2012-Icad7 for a 30 day demo period and see what you think prior to upgrading.

2012 download page:

2012 Demo Serial Number:

Be sure to email support and request the latest updates.

Thank you

Are running the 2012 on as network computer. I have vary degrees of success. With my newest laptop it is working extremely well. I have one network computer which is running very slow and another which has had some unique problems. I think I might have solved the problem for the later which may have also effecting the slow computer.
I would suggest checking your virus scanning and firewall software. It may be blocking some actions.
