Google Earth- import surface

I try to import a surface from Google Earth, but I get a message "Can't initialize Google Earth. Be sure version >= 5.2"

I am running version Google Earth 6.1.0.5001

I have successfully imported a surface within the last year, but not now. I have tried both with Google Earth running and not running.

Sometimes I get the error : Command: GESurface
no function definition: cad_cip_gisOnline$Init :error#0*Cancel*

I have checked that the dwg is set to NH State plane projection. I have tried different drawings. I have tried restarting the program.

Carlson 2013- build 120814 Civil Suite running on Civil 3d 2008, Win 7 pro, service pac 1.

I figured it out. I uninstalled Google Earth and re-installed it. Works fine now. There must have been something wrong with the program registry.
