List Station & Offset?

Postby howitzer » Wed Dec 19, 2012 1:53 pm

Hello. New to the software.

Is there a way to simply list a station & offset along an alignment?

I can find how to label, but sometimes I don't want to label, I just want to get the info for something and listing (inquiry?) would be easier and quicker.

I use the CALCOFF command and can be found as Calculate Offsets under the Centerline menu I think. It will display station / offset continuously as you move the cursor and also to the command line and report file when you pick locations.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but looks handy in its own right. Thanks.

CALCOFF is the simplest way to do it with Carlson.

If you can program VLISP you could write a program that would be simpler using the API's provided by Carlson.

That was the route I had to take. Unfortunately I can't share my program here since it was written on company time and I therefor am not the owner of it.
