TRIVOL "Calculate Elevation Zone Volumes"

We had a question about a check box in the TRIVOL command we use quite often that is the "Calculate Elevation Zone Volumes". Often times the cut & fill numbers supplied by this feature don't add up to the numbers listed up top. There seems to be a correlation between the difference, as it is the same difference between the cut & fill amounts. just wondering if there is anyone who has come across this as well, it happens when there is a cut & fill in the same volume calculation.
