DISAPPEARING PROFILE MENU PULLDOWN

Carlson 2020: When I need to plot profiles and go to the Civil workspace I'm able to pull down the Profile menu and do various things with the different choices. However somewhere along the line I go to pulldown something off the Profile menu and it's not there. When I load the Survey workspace then go back to Civil it's there again, but not for long. This also happens on a coworker's computer. So far I've been typing in the profile command name when the menu disappears but sometimes I forget what it is and have to load Survey then load Civil to get it back. this only seems to happens with the Profile menu pulldown in the Civil workspace. Any ideas??
