We are receiving from outside companies that need to be converted to our standard layering system. Is there an easy way to do this? AutoCAD has layer translator but does IntelliCAD have something similar? TIA

As far as layer names go, Carlson has a layer translator under the menu file->drawing utilities->layer translator. I have a spreadsheet that helps speed this process up significantly. That will get your layer names changed. To get colors and linetypes correct, I use a drawing template and standard legend. I do not keep my standard layers in the template, but keep them in a legend file which receives outside linework using copy/paste. As long as the layer names have been changed correctly, all the colors and linetypes from the outside file will take on the ones defined in legend file.
