Annotate - Draw Legend (picking up text)

Using Carlson 2023 & AutoCad Map 3d 2023.
Our draw legend is set to use symbols.
I've just noticed that the legend routine is picking up text labels in the drawing as well as symbol names and creating erroneous legend items.

Example: if the text label "ACCESS EASEMENT" appears in the drawing, then it will pick up the AC in ACCESS and give me an air conditioner symbol (since the .lgd file has AC as a symbol we use) in my legend even though the survey is of a cow pasture with no improvements. It does on other items as well. I don't recall this happening in the past. Been using Carlson for over 10 years, just noticed this... am I smoking crack?
