We have an issue that repeatedly happens on our device when we try to translate and rotate by multiple ranges of points. I have attached a text file with points that represent two simple examples. We are updated to the newest version of SurvCE. Our job is created as a .crdb file. (I could not attach a text file so here are the points I used below the 5000 series points were state plane coordinates).
Point File:
1,5000.0000,10000.0000,100.0000,STMGWSH
2,5174.0000,9985.0000,100.0000,STMON
300,5100.0000,10050.0000,50.0000,BC
1000,5000.0000,10000.0000,100.0000,/1 BS2-1
5001,2152636.0000,5990121.0000,23.0000,SAME AS1
5002,2152732.0000,5990206.0000,14.0000,SAME AS 2
Scenario 1 Procedure:
1. Cogo Transform Translate.
2. Original: Select Point ID 5001
Destination: Select Point ID 1 (This should result in a large negative delta) Check Box to continue
3. Set Range: 1-99,1000 (It works when I set range from 1-2,1000 and check “overwrite” but if we were in the field and did not know the exact range this could cause issues..)
Check Box to continue
4. The only points that move are 1 and 2. Point 1000 does not move as it should.
Scenario 2 Procedure:
1. Cogo Transform Translate.
2. Original: Select Point ID 5001
Destination: Select Point ID 1 (This should result in a large negative delta) Check Box to continue
3. Set Range: 1-2,1000
Check Box for “Use new point IDs”
“Add to Point IDs” = 10
Check Box to continue
4. It does not move point 1, it moves point 2, creates point 11 but moves it to new destination, creates point 12 but leaves it at the original location of point 2, keeps point 1000 the same, and creates point 1010 and moves it correctly.
There seem to be significant issues with the translate and rotate and I believe it is due to issues when correctly reading the point ranges. This can cause very bad problems when working out in the field. Please take a look at the text file and see if you get the same issues or if you may have a solution to this issue. Does anyone else have these issues?
